Metalcore band, August Burns Red, has released their sixth album Rescue & Restore June 25 off of Solid State Records.
Carson Slovak of Century and Grant McFarland, the former drummer for This Or The Apocalypse, oversaw the album production.
Overall, the album progresses beautifully flowing in and out of listeners’ ears as it plays in its entirety. Most metalcore is stereotypically ambiguous, however, this album creates a different feel for each track.
This album features flawless instrumental breaks. ABR has always been pros at ‘instrumetal.’
This past Christmas, the Christian band from PA, released their first Christmas album titled Sleddin’ Hill. The album was a compilation of famous Christmas songs performed by the band in metalcore style without any lyrics. The fact that they were able to pull this off strengthened them as a band, making Rescue & Restore a more mature, epic album.
Within the first four days of it’s release, Rescue & Restore, hit number six on the Billboard Nielsen Soundscan Building Chart. The album is predicted to sell around 25,000 copies in its first week, a record-breaking number for the band.
For those who have never heard of ABR, check out the track, “Spirit Breaker.” It rocks just like Texas In July.
