Despite a suspicious-looking paparazzi photo, Avril Lavigne is not pregnant.
The 28-year-old singer was spotted in London on Wednesday (June 5) evening. Photographs taken of the Canadian beauty exiting her hotel made it appear that she had a bun in the oven. However, a sources say Lavigne is not pregnant.
The “Here’s to Never Growing Up” singer is engaged to Nickleback vocalist Chad Kroeger, who popped the question in August 2012 with a stunning 14-carat diamond ring. The Canadian singers began dating after collaborating on music for Lavigne’s upcoming album. Their anniversary, July 1, is special to the pair as it celebrates more than just their love for each other.
"We think it's very cool that our anniversary will always be on Canada Day," Kroeger said, according to People Magazine . "We can't wait to start our life together."
The two have not revealed a wedding date, but are expected to dazzle guests with a spectacle ceremony.
“It's going to be quite spectacular, and there's a theme to it," Lavigne hinted. “We're going pretty big, but Chad doesn't even know everything."
In addition to a grand ceremony, Lavigne has also been working on her new album. The pop star told Nylon Magazine that her fresh sound will be a great departure from past tracks.
“Lyrically I pushed myself to talk about different subjects I haven't talked about before,” she told the mag. “I didn't want to be so simple. I tried to really express myself and go deeper."
The Abbey Dawn designer expressed excitement about her “more artistic” album, saying she expects fans will see that her latest work is far from being all about “relationships and dudes.”
