The Backstreet Boys released their first single “In a World Like This,” off their upcoming album last night on New York radio station Z100.
Their eighth studio album In a World Like This is set to release on July 30. The album was produced by Max Martin who wrote BSB’s hit songs “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart),” “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” and “I Want it That Way.”
A.J McLean shared his thoughts with MTV, “I think ‘In a World Like This,’ both in pop world that we’ve been living in for the past 20 years, and just the world that we live in with all the different things, positive things [and] negative things going on in this entire world. We’re still here 20 years later . . . It does kind of sound a little dark, but I think it’s positive.”
The chorus sings “In a world like this/ Where some back down/ I know we’re gonna make it/ In a time like this when love’s ‘round/ I know we got to take it” in uptempo and is about discovering love.
BSB is celebrating 20 years in the music industry with their new album and are heading out on tour with DJ Pauly D and Jesse McCartney on August 2 Rolling Stone reports.
