In their 43-year history, Black Sabbath never had a No. 1 single and only one album to hit the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Their new album, and first with Ozzy Osbourne since 1978, has changed that, reaching the top spot on the chart.

13 sold 155,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan numbers. That was enough to top the chart this week, notes Billboard.

The album is only their second release to hit the Top 10, following 1971’s Masters of Reality, which only reached No. 8. It’s also their best sales week since the 1998 live disc Reunion sold 62,000 copies in its first week.

13 has also been a success overseas, reaching the top spot on the U.K. chart.

“I'm in shock! The success of this album has blown me off my feet. We've never had a record climb the charts so fast,” Osbourne commented about the U.K. success earlier this week.

Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories stayed at No. 2 this week with 48,000 copies and passed the half-million copies sold mark. The 20/20 Experience by Justin Timberlake jumped to No. 3 with 35,000 copies sold.

Big Time Rush’s 24/Seven sold just 35,000 copies in its first week, a huge decline from Elevate’s debut. That 2011 album only debuted at No. 11, but still sold 70,000 copies.

Here's to the Good Times by Florida Georgia Line rounded out the Top 5 with 33,000 copies sold.

The rest of the Top 10 featured Darius Rucker’s True Believers (33,000); Blake Shelton’s Based on a True Story (31,000); Goo Goo Dolls’ Magnetic (29,000); the Man of Steel soundtrack (29,000) and Lonely Island’s The Wack Album (28,000).

“Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke topped the Digital Songs chart with 371,000 downloads.
