Black Sabbath has landed at the top of British music charts for the first time in over four decades with their new record 13. The last time they landed at the top of the list was with their second album Paranoid.

The Official Charts Company said on Sunday that 13 beat out Beady Eye’s BE (No. 2), which is Liam Gallagher’s band.

"I'm in shock! The success of this album has blown me off my feet. We've never had a record climb the charts so fast,” frontman Ozzy Osbourne told the Official Charts Company about the success of the album, The Huffington Post reports.

This album is a reunion of three of the four original members of Black Sabbath. Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler – and also features a different drummer, Brad Wilk, who replaced Bill Ward. Ward quit over a contract dispute.

The BBC reports the album took more than two years to write and record. They had some roadblocks, with Iommi being diagnosed with cancer and Osbourne relapsing.

"When Tony got stricken by cancer, we went 'This is ... insane.' But he turned up every day," said Osbourne about his bandmate.
