Bonnie McKee, a songwriter who has worked with Katy Perry and Britney Spears, has released her first single, “American Girl,” and the video features cameos by countless celebrities.

The four-minute video has garnered over 460,000 views since it was posted on Wednesday. It’s a song that sounds just like another one of Perry’s hits and it’s not surprise that the “Fireworks” singer is the second celebrity seen in the video (Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee in a wig is the first). According to The Los Angeles Times, McKee is listed as the co-writer of Perry hits “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream.” She also co-wrote Spears’ “Hold It Against Me” and Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite.”

The lyrics are a tribute to the life of an average “American Girl.” McKee sings, “I was raised by a television/ Every day is a competition/ Put the key in my ignition.”

AceShowBiz notes that some of the other celebrities include Joan Rivers, members of KISS, Jenny McCarthy, Ke$ha, George Takei, Giuliana Rancic, Nicole Scherzinger, Carly Rae Jepsen and Kelly Osbourne.

“American Girl” is the first single from McKee’s debut album, which is expected later this summer, along with a new video for the track. She’s certainly gotten off on the right foot for her own career with this celebrity-packed video.
