The Voice’s third-season winner Cassadee Pope hits number seven on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
“Wasting All These Tears” is Pope’s third top ten debut unaccompanied by another artist according to Billboard. Her covers of Keith Urban’s “Stupid Boy” hit number four and Miranda Lambert’s “Over you” hit number three.
The Digital Journal reports sthe single hit number one on the iTunes Country Songs chart and number two on the all-genre songs chart. The lead single sold 125,000 downloads in its first week and is the highest beginner on Country Digital Songs at number two and is number 54 on Country Airplay.
Pope recently performed on the CMT Music Awards and returned to The Voice to perform her new single.
Before her solo career, Pope was the lead singer of pop/rock band Hey Monday where their EP “Beneath It All” hit number 25 on the Billboard 200.
Pope is now gearing up to head on tour with Rascal Flatts this summer.
