Chris Brown appeared in a Los Angeles court Monday to face charges that he hadn’t properly completed his community service hours.
Earlier this year the D.A. came down on Brown for claiming that he did not properly completing his community service, which he has been ordered to serve following pleading guilty to felony assault on then girlfriend Rihanna.
In February, Brown submitted hours claiming to have picked up trash in Virginia. However, the time Brown filled out on the paperwork; he was actually in a flight to Cancun. The D.A. called his community service submission “at best sloppy”.
KTLA reports that a preliminary hearing has been set of July 15. The D.A has requested more paperwork and evidence to support that Brown has in fact completed the hours he claimed he put in.
Brown has not directly addressed the matter. However, on Monday he tweeted, “I like being the person everyone hates...”
