It’s been over a year since Chris Brown-Drake’s infamous New York City bar brawl, and now the Canadian rapper has opened up in a new interview revealing that the feud is still ongoing.

Drake sat down with GQ this month where he dished on his upcoming album, tour plans and most notably, his longstanding fight with fellow rapper Chris Brown.

He explains, “I don’t want my name to be synonymous with that guy’s name, I really don’t. I wish we could sit down, just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man."

He continues, "But that’s not going to happen. I’m not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down."

Brown and Drake’s bar fight was made public after the “Look at Me Now” rapper posted a photo of his chin split along with the tweet, “H ow u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!.” He later deleted the tweet and the photo.

As the day progressed, details surrounding the fight surfaced, stating that the incident occurred over fellow artist, Rihanna, who famously dated both men.
“Two rappers fighting over the woman. He’s not even a rapper, but still, it’s the last way you want your name out there,” he explains.

Although the two men have been cleared of charges from the June 2012 incident, Drake doesn’t believe that the issues between the two will dissipate any time soon. He notes, “If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly.”
