Lincoln Center Theater announced its 2013-2014 season lineup, featuring actor Ethan Hawke in a new production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

According to The New York Times, the production will start on Oct. 24 with the opening set for Nov. 21 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. Hawke, who currently stars in Richard Linklater’s Before Midnight and the surprise horror hit The Purge, will work with director Jack O’Brien. The two worked on Henry IV in 2003 and Cast of Utopia in 2006. Hawke earned a Tony nod for Utopia, also directed by O’Brien.

Hawke’s Macbeth will be the second Broadway production of the play in 2013. Alan Cumming plays multiple roles in a production that closes on July 14.

The season will kick off with Pulitzer Prize winner Bruce Norris’ Domesticated. USA Today notes that the Clybourne Park writer’s new play will star Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne). Previews will start on Oct. 10 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.

James Lapine, another Pulitzer winner, will direct his adaptation of Moss Hart’s Act One. It’s set for previews on March 20, 2014 at the Beaumont. Opening night is set for April 17.

The final production announced is Anthony Giardina’s political drama The City of Conversation, which starts at the Newhouse on April 10.
