Taylor Swift isn’t quite ready to start making new music again, she said on the red carpet of the Fragrance Foundation Awards where she accepted the Celebrity of the Year award.
In between Red tour dates, Swift, 22, said she’s giving herself a few months to recuperate from the consuming writing process.
“I'm getting ready to start thinking about it. Because my record, it just came out and I'm trying to give my mind a second to like, 'OK,' because when I write a record, I write until I cannot write anymore, I drive myself crazy and then finally the album comes out and I give myself a few months off so I'm still in that time,” she told MTV News.
She echoed the same sentiments to Extra, saying she’s not “obsessing” about it quite yet.
“I'm thinking about it, but I'm not obsessing yet,” she said of a new album. “If you talk to me when I'm obsessing over it, like a few months from now, I won't even be able to focus on a conversation. I’ll be thinking of ideas… It's pretty full-on whenever I'm writing for a record.”
For now, she’s on tour with Ed Sheeran and Austin Mahone and having a great time. “The tour has been incredible,” she gushed. “The show I’m really proud of… it's going on until November, then we take it overseas to Australia.”
