This Tuesday, Frank performed three new songs during his concert in Munich, Germany. The tracks were captured on video by a fan and uploaded onto Youtube.
One track consists of themes of not being able to “relate to his peers” and grappling with the concept of settling down, MTV reports. Another track is about California and cars. On the final track uploaded to Youtube, Ocean sings about heartbreak.
According to Paste Magazine, it has not been confirmed whether these three tracks will be included in his sophomore album. According to Spin, Frank Ocean’s sophomore album may have influences from the Beach Boys and the Beatles.
Ocean said “"When I was making the first [album] there were a group of artists that I listened to, just for inspiration and to absorb the energies. It was a lot of Stevie Wonder, and this time it's a lot of Beach Boys and Beatles and whatnot, so we'll see how it trickles into the music and the final product. I can't say much other than that."
According to Consequence of Sound, since the release of his first album, Frank Ocean has worked with Jay-Z on Jay-Z’s upcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail on the track appropriately titled “Oceans.”
