We open on Jared and Peter backstage getting ready for an appearance on Piers Morgan’s show. Stanton was supposed to be in too but has been delayed in London. They are appearing opposite Rachel King, a high-powered attorney, discussing the dismissal of a civil rights case related to public nudity. Rachel ends up one-upping them and the guys end up nude on camera when they can’t come up with a case history to support their point.
Shoot the firm. The guys find famous magician August West, waiting for them in their office. He tells them that he’s been charged with stealing a $500,000 diamond bracelet. August says it was his twin brother, Tim, who actually stole it, but he doesn’t want to publicly out him because it would expose the secret behind the trick. August then adds that he would rather go to jail then to see Tim charged.
Shoot to Stanton introducing Rachel to the guys as the newest partner at the firm and says the firm will now be known as Infeld, Daniels & King.
Shoot to Pindar finding termites in his bed. He calls the guys in a panic and tells them he’s already had the house tented so nobody can go in for 72 hours.
Shoot to the guys noting that since Tim said during the trick, “I’m going to make your bracelet disappear, is that okay with you?” They are going to argue that the bracelet’s owner agreed to the theft.
Shoot to Damien telling Rachel that he’s leaving the firm. They then discuss his interest in becoming a judge and she notes the existence of an unflattering video that shows him masturbating during a sleep study that has been making the rounds in the legal world. She tell him that he should leak it, before he becomes a candidate for the bench so it won’t hurt his chances as much.
Shoot to the guys motion to get the charges against August dismissed being denied because they’re given a contract Tim had signed before his appearance agreeing to return all property. Rachel then tells the guys that they’re defending August because he’s connected to a more prominent potential client, casino owner Terrance Allen. She then adds the guys are wasting their potential and we find out Rachel is an avid ballet dancer.
Shoot to Rachel placing a wall in the middle of Jared and Peter’s office to split them up. Stanton does nothing to stop her from doing so and then gives the guys his favorite samurai sword. Once he leaves, Peter and Jared talk about how Stanton hasn’t been the same since he returned from his last trip to Africa.
Shoot to Jared and Peter going to Tim’s favorite bar. They learn there is a lot of bad blood between him and August but Tim won’t tell them what August did for Tim to hate him so much.
Shoot to the guys asking Carmen to look into Tim’s background. She agrees to do so but adds that she’s also trying to find a place for Pindar to sleep and it isn’t going well.
Shoot to Rachel arranging a plea deal for August. She tells the guys that they must file the guilty plea in the morning then tells them not to speak to August at all and threatens to give them bad report to their parole board if they disobey her. A bad report from her could put them in jail because of the plane incident (from last season).
Shoot to the guys waiting for Carmen. While they are waiting they wonder why Rachel didn’t just fire them. When Carmen arrives, she tells Jared and Peter that Tim was arrested 20 years ago in Nevada, just before he and August started performing the trick together.
Shoot to Damien telling a judge, who has the incriminating tape, that he’d like to leak it. The judge, who is female, has clearly been enjoying the video.
Shoot to the guys meeting Tim again at his favorite bar and have Carmen bring August to the same bar “coincidentally.” The guys learn that the two are at odds because August took credit for Tim’s life story, creating a rags-to-riches biography for himself. August apologizes to Tim and asks what he can do to make amends. Jared and Peter suggest performing in front of a jury.
Shoot Pindar not sleeping for three days. He decides to go back to the house a day and a half before anyone should go in.
Shoot to Damien getting unwanted attention at the firm because of the incriminating video.
Shoot to Carmen going for a run while Pindar starts cleaning the house.
Shoot to Rachel offering to give Damien career counseling if he stays with the firm.
Shoot to Tim, who is pretending to be August, ripping up his guilty plea before heading to court. He makes a point of leaning into his female accuser and apologizing. When the woman takes the stand, Jared and Peter make it a point to ask how she could have possibly known where her bracelet had been all this time. Peter then asks her to check her wrist and the bracelet is there! Jared and Peter’s closing argument is that the bracelet being on the woman’s wrist creates reasonable doubt. It works and the charges against August are dropped.
Shoot to Terrance Allen now being a client of the firm due to the guys win for August. Rachel still isn’t happy with Jared and Peter and orders them to do a load of busy work. Later, Peter asks Stanton if he’s okay. Stanton replies by knocking Peter to the ground by simply touching a pressure point.
Shoot to August and Tim making amends and planning to perform together professionally as brothers. Peter then gets a call from Tim’s favorite bar that Pindar has burned down their house!
