He tells the guys that because of a clerical error, he’s been declared dead by the VFA. He can’t get his benefit checks his mail and he can’t pay the loan he took out on is house and it’s set to foreclose. He adds that the house is being auctioned off that afternoon. The guys don’t think Rachel will let them take the case so they propose to buy back Don’s house with the insurance money they got after Pindar burned down their house then sell the house back to Don.

Shoot to Stanton introducing Damien to Nataliya, who he met at the Jumbo Burger. He tells Damien that she was fired and is worried about being deported. Stanton then begins to tell Damien what happened to him during his last trip to Zambia on the Victoria Falls, but he stops short of telling him and just orders Damien to get Nataliya her job back.

Shoot to Jared and Peter going to the courthouse to buy back Don’s house. They only have $25,000 because that’s the amount of Don’s loan. The auctioneer starts the bidding at $45,000 but then a female raises the bid to $100,000 so the guys have to walk away without getting Don’s house back.

Shoot to Jared and Peter going to Rachel with the case. She notes that a developer bought Don’s house and is scheduled to level it on Wednesday so they can sub-divide the property. Jared and Peter tell her that they want to get an injunction to stop the demolition so they can prove don isn’t dead and he can get his house back. Rachel gives the guys 20 hours to work on the case and to find out the developers name.

Shoot to the beach house as Jared and Peter are talking about how Don should be enjoying his “golden years” instead of dealing with debt. Then, Carmen arrives and tells them that the woman who bought Don’s house works for Groody Homes and their injunction hearing is scheduled for 10 am the next day. Then, Carmen spots a hot woman on the beach fishing. Peter does some quick push-ups before going to talk to her. Peter introduces himself, they banter and he invites her to his and Jared’s party at the house. She hasn’t told him her name though and declines his invitation. When he asks why, she says it was because she saw him do those quick push-ups.

Shoot back to the courtroom. Jared and Peter are there with Don, asking the judge for injunction to stop the demolition of Don’s house. The judge is thrilled to have Jared and Peter in his courtroom and says he is big fans of theirs while other judges fear them. The opposing counsel asks if the judge’s admiration could be a conflict of interest so the judge moves on. The judge asks if Jared and Peter can prove that Don is still alive. Peter says they have Don’s driver’s license and birth certificate, He grants Jared and Peter the injunction but for only five days not 60 days.

Shoot to Jared, Peter and Don at the Social Security Administration office, trying to clear up the clerical error. The clerk says the matter should be cleared up a month. Don gets mad saying that in a month, his house will be gone. The clerk then says that the SS administration gets a lot of these fraud cases and that each one has to be investigated because people siphon off the deceased’s benefits. Jared then mentions that it was the SS administration’s error but the clerk then says it wasn’t and shows them Don’s death certificate which was issued by the coroner’s office.

Shoot to Jared and Peter’s beach party. The hot girl from the beach shows up. She finally introduces herself as Charlie and tells them she’s their neighbor. She then asks them when their party will be over. Peter tells her 10 pm. She thanks them and moves to leave. Peter offers her a drink but she declines and leaves. Then, Jared gets a call that Don has been arrested for slashing the tires of a Groody Homes truck on his street.

Shoot back to Jared and Peter’s office. Carmen tells them that Don’s certificate is a fake. She then tells them that Groody Homes sold AJ Connelly, the SS clerk, a home in Tarzana for a very discounted price. “Maybe Groody Homes gave AJ a sweetheart deal in exchange for fabricating Don’s death,” Peter hypothesizes. Carmen then adds that AJ split with his wife, Jenny, before moving into the new house. Jared then suggests that Carmen get to Jenny to see if she’ll give AJ up,

Shoot to Damien, Stanton and Nataliya. Damien tells Nataliya that her appeal on her visa could take longer than seen days, which is when he visa expires, and in the meantime, she could be deported and not allowed back in the US for 10 years. Stanton then suggests that he marry Nataliya so she could become a US citizen. Damien then reminds Stanton that the INS asks very specific questions to ensure it isn’t a marriage of convenience. Stanton then tells Damien about his experience at Victoria Falls. He tells Damien that he met a troubled man at the falls, who then leapt to his death. Stanton then says after that, he vowed to listen more and was that reason he brought Rachel into the firm. Stanton then goes on his knee and proposes to Nataliya, who gleefully accepts much to Damien’s horror.

Shoot to Carmen going to a speed dating session Jenny is at. Jenny tells her that AJ was spending lots of time with another woman though he denied having an affair and said it was “business.” Carmen then begs Jenny to tell her the woman’s name.

She thinks he’s threatening them because Jared and Peter are on to something. She then orders them to stay on the case but below the radar and if she gets wind of a client potentially leaving the firm, she’ll pull the plug on their involvement with the case.

Shoot back to the courtroom as Jared and Peter filing a wrongful death suit against Groody Homes. The judge who likes them lets the suit go through. Later, the guys and Don are back in the courtroom but it’s a different judge because it’s a different case. He doesn’t seem to care for Jared and Peter’s antics like the last judge. They put Brenda, the woman who bought Don’s house at the courthouse auction on the stand. Jared asks her about selling AJ a house at a 25 percent discount. She says he was a good haggler. Jared then accuses her of her and AJ having an affair. She denies it and denies contributing to Don’s “death.”

Shoot back to the beach house. Carmen called Charlie to help Peter with his back, which he injured trying to move the statue that scares Pindar. She fixes his back then when he asks her to stay for a drink, she says her office will send him an invoice and quickly leaves.

Shoot to Stanton and Nataliya being interviewed by INS officers. They each get every question right about each other.

Shoot back to the courtroom as Jordan, Don’s nephew, is put on the stand. Opposing counsel produces a death benefit check, which Jordan endorsed. Jordan explains that Don told him to cash it so he could buy food but the opposing counsel says it proves that Jordan acknowledged Don’s death.

Shoot back to the firm. The guys think they made a wrong move with the wrongful death suit. They go over what has happened so far and get an idea that stems from Don’s arrest. Before they leave for court, Stanton stops Jared and asks him to marry him and Nataliya. Just before they are to be married, Nataliya stops the wedding. Stanton clears the room and she tells him that she doesn’t want to become a US citizen “this way.” He kisses her goodbye and she leaves.
