Peter Dinklage turns 44 today!
Born in New Jersey, Peter Hayden Dinklage made his on-screen debut in a 1995 art house production titled Living in Oblivion.
He then landed a groundbreaking role for Station Agent, which the actor garnered an Independent Spirit Award, two nominations of SAG Awards, and a Satellite Award for. In the same year, Dinklage appeared in Tiptoes, co-starring Gary Oldman, and some off-Broadway productions.
Dinklage's other movie credits include Elf, Nip/Tuck, the American remake of the British comedy Death in a Funeral, Uncle Vanya, Prince Caspian, and Ice Age and its sequels.
His latest and most well-known role is Tyrion Lannister in HBO's series Game of Thrones, an adaption of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. Dinklage garnered an Emmy, Golden Globe, Satellite, and SAG Awards for his performance in the show.
Outside of acting, the actor was a vegetarian, fully supported animal protection organization Farm Sanctuary, and a spokeperson for Walk for Farm Animals.
