Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis is trying to prevent his sex tape from being distributed after his girlfriend’s iPad was stolen at LAX.
The tape stars Francis and girlfriend Abbey Wilson, who won the Girls Gone Wild' Search for the Hottest Girl in America contest last year, and it’s said to be “hardcore.” Francis is threatening legal action against whoever is shopping it around.
Francis told TMZ he has nothing to do with shopping around the tape and will sue if he has to.
"It is not only unfortunate, but it is a crime,” his lawyer, David Houston, told TMZ. “As such, this office will take all necessary steps to determine who in fact has done this and who is attempting to distribute the video."
"When we catch you, we will see that you are prosecuted to the fullest extent of both the criminal and civil laws,” he said in a message to whoever has possession of the tape.
The New York Post reports Francis was recently convicted of assault and false imprisonment, which are misdemeanors.
