Harry Connick Jr. wrote a song in dedication to Newtown, CT. victim Ana Grace Marquez-Greene.
Ana Grace, 6, was one of 20 first graders killed in the tragic December Sandy Hook massacre. Connick Jr. released his song, “Love Wins,” in memory of Ana Grace and the other 19 children and six adults who lost their lives that tragic day.
Proceeds from the song are going to the Ana Grace Fund The Associated Press reports.
The multi-talented singer/actor performed the song along.side Ana Grace’s jazz saxophonist father, Jimme Greene. Connick Jr. is a longtime friend of the family and performed at Ana Grace’s funeral, CBC reports
Connick Jr. discussed the song in depthsaying, “It's an all-star cast, featuring Kim Burrell, Doobie Powell, Nikki Ross, Jonathan Dubose Jr., and, of course, Jimmy Greene on tenor saxophone.”
“I hope that everyone will be able to download the song... Ana Grace used to say 'love wins' —and you know what? it always does!” he adds.
