“Better Together” singer/songwriter Jack Johnson has been named the replacement for Mumford & Sons at the Bonnaroo Festival.
According to Starpulse, Johnson was notably disappointed that he too would miss out on the opportunity to share the stage with Mumford & Sons, but did note, “I've got a lot of lyrics and chords to relearn by Saturday night," he said. "I was here to play the first Bonnaroo and it is a very special festival to my band. We are excited to hit the stage again."
Johnson has since taken to Twitter to share his excitement. The 38-year-old singer posted a photo of himself warming up in a tent prepping for his time on stage.
The Grammy Award winning folk-rock band was forced to cancel their appearance at the festival after bassist Ted Dwane was diagnosed with a blood clot on his brain. The clot has since been removed and Dwane has been discharged from the hospital on his way to recovery.
