Jay-Z expresses concern for becoming a father to daughter Blue Ivy with his wife Beyonce, getting personal when discussing his new song “Heaven,” off of Magna Carta Holy Grail.

In a teaser clip for “Heaven,” Jay-Z talks about his idea of heaven being his daughter and his fears about fatherhood.

"For me, my idea is heaven is in your daughter's laughter; hell could be if your child is missing for three minutes — you're in three minutes of hell," he said, MTV News reports. "It's just not my belief that a just God would make you burn or eternity for [the] free will that He gave you."

His song "Jay-Z Blue" is more about his fears, saying his absentee father didn’t prepare him for fatherhood or manhood for that matter.

"[She's] something that we both created; we still marvel at her," he explained. “It deals with my pop left when I was young, so he didn't teach me how to be a man, nor how to raise a child, or treat a woman. So, of course, my karma, the two things I need, I don't have. And I have a daughter. It's the paranoia of not being a great dad.”

MStarz reports Magna Carta Holy Grail will come out on July 4.
