Jay-Z and Samsung have joined forces for the release of the music mogul's next album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.

The announcement was made via a three minute commercial that aired during Game 5 of the NBA Finals and can be seen above.

Jay and Samsung were rumored to have been in talks about a partnership, but the facts were tightly guarded until now.

Under the terms, Samsung has purchased one million copies of the album that they will give away to a million Galaxy owners at 12:01am on July 4th, three days ahead of the general release date. The album will be downloaded with an app that users will be able to get in the Android Market starting June 24th.

Never one to pass on an interesting business opportunity, this is only the latest in what is shaping up to be another busy year for Jay. But this deal is also interesting for Samsung. According to Billboard.com, Samsung "plans to double the Palo Alto music team from 100 people to 200 by the end of the year" in an effort to expand their mobile focus.

"We don't have any rules, everybody is trying to figure it out," says Jay-Z in the spot. "That's why the internet is like the Wild West. The Wild Wild West. We need to write the new rules."
