Joe Jonas won big at Thursday’s O Music Awards, a digital awards show backed by music networks such as MTV and VH1.

Jonas, who won for Best Artist on Instagram said he was honored to be the first artist to win such an award.

“I don’t think anyone has ever won an award for being on Instagram before,” the singer said. “So it’s cool to be the first one.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the O Music Awards also honored artist who had achieved web-based popularity, presenting Kitty with Best Web-Born Artist.

Other awards included Longest Freestyle, presented to rapper Chiddy, and the world record for Most Shows Played in Multiple Cities in a 24 Hour Period, won by Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips.

Another world record was set during the award show by American drummer Andrew W. K., who set a record for Longest Drum Session in a Retail Store. The musician, born Andrew Fetterly Wilkes-Krier, drummed for 24 consecutive hours, according to Yahoo.

The awards show, which was broadcast via OMusicAwards.com, has aimed to set a new world record each year. It has been billed as the largest online-only event of its kind, with 100 million votes cast by fans to decide each winner.
