Justin Bieber is the most recent celeb to announce that he will travel into space. Richard Branson, CEO of Virgin Galactic, announced the news Thursday.
According to CBS News the news of Bieber, alongisde his manager Scooter Braun, galectic journey was announced by Branson via Twitter.
“Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!” Branson tweeted.
Braun also celebrated the news on Twitter writing, “I'm going to space momma!”
The Great Gatsby actor Leonardo DiCaprio is also slated to head to space alongside one fan who purchased a trip alongside the actor at a Cannes Auction for a reported $1.5 million.
Kate Winslet, who is married Branson's nephew Ned Rocknroll, is also slated to head to space after Branson gifted the award winning actress the trip.
Tickets go for a reported $250,000. It is unclear when Bieber, DiCaprio and Winslet will take their respective trips. A Virgin Galactic rocket was recently sent off on a trial run with commercial flights expected to begin sometime next year.
