Kate Winslet is expecting her third child and first with husband Ted Rocknroll. The 37 year old Oscar winner has two children from her previous marriages Jim Threapleton and director Sam Mendes. She has Mia, 12, with Threapleton and Joe, 9, with Mendes.
Winslet and Rocknroll, the nephew of Richard Branson, got married in December.
"I can confirm Kate Winslet is pregnant and she and Ned Rocknroll are thrilled," a rep for the actress said, BBC News reports. "The baby is due at the end of the year."
Winslet revealed a conversation she had with the Queen last year when accepting a CBE award, in which the Queen asked her if she enjoyed acting and she said "I said yes, I liked it, but not as much as being a mother. She [the Queen] said, 'It is the best job'."
In an interview with InStyle back in 2006, Winslet expressed her desire to have more children. “I’m hoping to have more kids,” she said at the time. “I don’t know whether one or two. Oh, God, I would love to have more.”
“Kate and Ned are delighted,” a rep said, The Huffington Post notes.
