Kristen Bell has proposed to boyfriend Dax Shepard on Twitter after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same sex marriage. The couple previously said they wouldn’t get married until everyone could in their state of California.
Although they officially got engaged in 2009, Bell made the gesture of re-asking the father of their daughter Lincoln, 3 months, again once the bill was passed.

Bell has previously said about choosing to wait to get married, “The reason we’re not rushing to get married is because I don’t feel appropriate taking advantage of a right that’s denied to my best friends,” Daily Mail reports.
She added, “That’s why we’ve been so hesitant. Dax and I have talked about it a lot, and this issue is very important to both of us. We’re just standing up for what we believe in. Period.”
She also tweeted after the ruling, “You’re damn right DOMA is unconstitutional!! #equalitymatters.”
