Liam Gallagher is interested in reforming Oasis in 2014 for its 20 anniversary of the band’s debut album Definitely Maybe.
According to NME Gallagher, who now is the frontman of Beady Eye, admits he is no longer on speaking terms with his brother Noel but Gallagher said he would bring back the band even for no financial reward.
“There’s unfinished business there. People ask would I get Oasis back together. I’d do it for now, but if someone’s going to drop a load of f***ing money, I’d do it for that too. I don’t think we’d ever many another record. I doubt we’ll ever get back together,” Gallagher said to NME.
According to The Independent when Oasis was together the brothers had a number of arguments. Noel left the band in 2009 saying he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”
Gallagher said if Oasis got back together it would be nice for the 20 anniversary but he would go back to Beady Eye and Noel would return to “his thing.”
“We could bury the hatchet for a quick lap of honor,” he said.
Beady Eye second album BE is set for release on June 10 via Columbia Records.
