Meek Mill protégé, Lil Snupe, has died at the age of 18. Multiple sources have said the rapper died of a gunshot wound. His manager has also confirmed his death on Twitter.

His manager, wrote, “The call I got this morning is un real RIP 2 my Lil ni**a lilsnupe.”

According to AllHipHop, Snupe was shot by “haters.” He just signed a deal with Meek Mill’s DreamChaser’s Records this year.

Meek Mill discovered the young rapper when he passed him a demo during a Louisiana tour stop. In April, Snupe told MTV News, “He was in a van, they was finna pull off. And I went and knocked on the van, on the window. They let the window down, grabbed the mixtape and it was like 10 minutes later, 20 minutes later they called me.”

His latest mixtape is called R.N.I.C. (Real Ni**a in Charge). No other details have been released surrounding his death.
