Marissa Powell, better known as Miss Utah, became a social media name after her now infamous response which included the grammatical flub, “We need to see how to create education better.”
Now sources close to the pageant competitor state that Powell spaced out and never actually heard the question when it was her time to answer.
As we previously reported, Powell was questioned about a woman’s role in society as women continue to make less than men even if they are the household provider. Powell, noticeably flustered, responded with, “That is the biggest problem, and I think especially the men are seen as the leaders of this, and so we need to try to figure out how to create education better so that we can solve this problem."
Sources close to Powell are telling TMZ that she was so nervous and anxious for her turn that she completely spaced out. Rather than asking the judges to repeat the question she attempted to improvise by answering with whatever came to mind. The sources note that Powell is incredibly embarrassed.
