Miss World Beauty will not have their regular bikini portion in this year’s pageant due to the large Muslim population in the Indonesia, the host country.

According to nydailynews in ordet to respect the Muslim population in Indonesia, the one hundred and thirty-seven contestants will wear sarongs and other similar outfits for the beach-fashion portion. “I don't want to upset or get anyone in a situation where we are being disrespectful," Julia Morley the Miss World Organization chairwoman said.

The pageant hopes to avoid conflict such as last years canceled Lady Gaga concert. Gaga canceled her show in Indonesia after conservative Muslims threatened to burn down the venue and labeled the singer a ‘devil worshipper’ because of her skimpy attire.

The pageant will be held this September 28 and will be broadcast live from the Sentul International Convention Center in Jakarta according to Huffington post.
