Modest Mouse canceled their upcoming Europe and United Kingdom tour to continue working on their new album.

The band was set to tour the United Kingdom this July playing a series of headline dates as well as sets at the T In The Park and Latitude festivals but now they have all been canceled according to NME.

“We do appreciate our fans and promise that we will make it up to you next year. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase. We look forward to sharing our new music with the world next year,” the band’s website said.

According to Rolling Stone Modest Mouse have already played new material this spring live during their set at Coachella including a track called “Be Brave.” The new album would be the band’s first full-length since We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sunk in 2007.

The band is set to play the First City Festival in Monterey, California on August 25.
