What Kids, adults, and teenagers alike have been waiting for is finally here. With the anticipation of Monster University coming out Friday, it is very possible that it will take over as number one in the box office.
According to MTV, Monster University, a prequel to the lovable, Monsters, Inc., will be pulling in the biggest numbers this weekend at the box office. Although Brad Pitt's movie of a zombie apocalypse is still looking to be high on the board, it may in fact pull into a close second, or just stay in the Top five.
The movie being seen as a Revenge Against the Nerds type case, is said to bring in a whopping $70 to $80 million. Brad Pitt's, World War Z, is expected to bring in $40 million by Paramount, and at the highest $50 million by The Los Angeles Times. If the analysts are correct, Monster University, would be put as the highest paid animated movie since the opening of Toy Story 3.
The movie about Monsters learning exactly how to be Monsters has a pretty high star studded cast. Of course there are the voices of Billy Crystal as, Mike Wazoswki, and John Goodman as, Sully, but also a few unexpected stars as well. For example the lovely and beautiful Helen Mirren from Red and Red 2, will be playing Dean Hardscrabble, who is a mix between centipede and bat and will for sure cause a couple of scares herself.
A Review by Jeremy Kirk on FirstShowing.net, expressed that this movie might just have the right amount of laughs to pass the class:
"A whole new series of laughs are always right around the corner. It passes. Maybe not with honors, but a pass is still a pass. Its colorful cuteness and solid pacing are undeniable."
Pixar knows just what to do to the capture the hearts of all ages.
