After a successful surgery to remove a blood clot on bassist Ted Dwane’s brain, Mumford & Sons have announced their rescheduled North American tour dates as well as their full English tour dates.
The folk band took to Facebook to announce the dates they have rescheduled after being forced to postpone them for Dwane’s surgery.
“Firstly and most importantly, we are pleased to report that Ted is making a steady recovery from his recent operation; thank you so much for your messages of support,” they wrote to their fans.
The Grammy-winning band, whose album Babel won album of the year and peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200, will be accompanied by The Vaccines and Bear’s Den on the road. They have announced their rescheduled dates for Sept., after their North American tour wraps.
The band was forced to miss a string of tour dates, including some music festivals like Bonnaroo due to Dwane’s unexpected emergency surgery.
Fans who wish to purchase tickets have to register for the Invitation Onsale, which they say is “a simple process and the most effective way we’ve found to ensure the real fans get in and the ticket touts stay out,” Paste Magazine notes.
