The new Sophia Coppola film, The Bling Ring, is based on real events of a bandit of young adults who rob celebrities’ homes in California. One of the victims, Paris Hilton, is featured in the movie and plays herself. But the realistic streak in the movie doesn’t stop there – Hilton actually offered up her house to be used in the filming of the movie.
According to Celebrity Gossip, Hilton was weary to let the actors inside of her home, requesting only that they don’t “burn down her house.” Despite her strict demeanor, Sophia Coppola claims that the heiress was “different from her persona . . . she was very warm,” according to Washington Post.
Coppola was very excited to use Hilton’s house in the filming, portraying Hilton’s home as a Paris-Hilton-altar/giant walk-in closet. The house features Paris everything with her picture covering the walls and even pillows, some of which Coppola herself took pictures with.
The Bling Ring was released June 14th and received mixed reviews from critics.
