Yesterday, June 14th, The Bling Ring, featuring Emma Watson and Paris Hilton, was released to theaters. The movie is based on a series of robberies that took place in Calabasas, California back in 2009. A group of several teenagers robbed the houses of celebrities, using social networks like Twitter to track the celebrities’ whereabouts.
With all the hype about the Sofia Coppola film’s release, real-life Bling Ring victim Paris Hilton recently did an interview where she was asked what she would do if she saw the members of the Bling Ring in person.
"I don't know what I'd do if I saw them,” Paris was reported saying, according to E! Online. “I'm not a confrontational person. But I would literally be like, ‘You guys need serious help. And I want my stuff back.'"
Recently, TMZ bumped into one of the members of the real-life Bling Ring, Nick Prugo who said that Hilton needed to “chill” about the robberies. Prugo, who was released from prison this past April, claimed that the Bling Ring gave back $1 million to their victims as well as gave back most of the items they stole.
The Bling Ring received mixed reviews and features Paris Hilton in the movie portraying herself.
