Since the drama that unfolded after Gomez officially broke it off with her on-again-off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber, Gomez has been looking for a more mature relationship says Z100. Perhaps Sheeran’s sensitive personality is just what Gomez needs at this time in her life.
So how did these two stars meet? Their mutual gal-pal Taylor Swift set the duo up. Despite old rumors of Swift and Sheeran being an item, Swift had brought the two together during Memorial Day weekend and the two have been seen hanging out ever since. Sheeran was seen leaving Gomez’s home with his guitar, supposedly collaborating on a new song.
Sources close to Gomez told US Magazine that Gomez got tired of having to take care of Justin and that Sheeran was a “nice escape from the drama.”
