Radio co-hosts and self-help couple John Littig, 48, and Lynne Rosen, 46, were found dead with plastic bags over their heads in their New York apartment, with a canister of helium attached by a tube.

The common-law couple left behind suicide notes, each writing their own. The manager of their building, Hasan Boztepe, 51, kicked down the door to their apartment on Monday after smelling a strong odor.

"I was shocked. I am still in shock. I feel so bad for these people," he said, CNN notes.

Tittig, a motivational speaker, and Rosen, a psychotherapist, hosted a radio show called The Pursuit of Happiness on WBAI-99.5. They also owned a life coaching consulting company, Why Not Now, together.

“Her note basically said she was sorry for doing this,” a police source told The New York Daily News. “We believe she had some psychological problems.”

A source also said the general consensus of the notes were “We’re going to do this together.”
