The View cohost Sherri Shepherd appeared on The Wendy Williams Show where it appeared that she had a slip of the tongue, possibly confirming the demise of fellow View cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

According to Us Weekly, Shepherd was discussing the recent change in cohosts on the show after Joy Behar and Barbara Walters announced their departure.

Shepherd dished, “Oh my gosh girl, so many changes! I can't believe it!"
Continuing she seemingly slipped, "The two black women are left. Usually they kill us off in the beginning,” referring to herself and fellow cohost Whoppi Goldberg.

“So if the two black women are left, then you've just confirmed that Hasselbeck is out,” Williams pressed. Shepherd then backtracked stating, “No, I did not.” Williams joked, "She put her foot in her mouth!"

With this comment it caused viewers to wonder if rumors that Hasselbeck would be fired from the hit ABC talkshow were actually true.

"She's going to be there," Shepherd said matter-of-factly. "We're all going to be there next season."
