Shake It Down is the second full-length album from country rock band Six Market Blvd. The band formed in 2008 and is from Stephenville, Texas.

The band is led front man Clayton Landau expresses his view on the album by saying, “Every song on there is collectively different, which is something that we strive for. That is our goal. Every song needs to be completely different, from the harmonies to the instrumentation.” According to .

Landau said while the band was recording the album the Beatles and Fleetwood Mac. It is evident while listening to the album because there is a mixture of genres. It has the combination of 1970’s folk rock beat to a soulful edgy country vibe.
The single “The Painter” and “Say It” showcase the 1970s style combined with the country beat. Landau’s voice is captivating and allows you to feel his passion.
“Say It” is the first single on the album. Landau is talking about his love interest, “Say you miss me, say you miss me darlin'/Say that there is nothin' in this world that'll cut you wrong/And say you need me, say you need me honey/It ain't about the money/It's about how we can get along.”
Each beat of the drum and strum of the guitar makes a sweet melody that matches the powerful lyrics.
Six Market Blvd has a summer full of tour dates and is working on their third album. Shake It Down has songs of enjoying the simple pleasures of life and the good and bad of love.
