After winning multiple awards for her most recent, Red album, Taylor Swift already feels the creative process beginning again. Only 8 months after her most recent album was released she's already thinking about writing again.
According to USA Today, she told reporters on Thursday that she is already ready to begin writing new music:
"It's starting," Swift says at the CMA Music Festival. "All the anxiety is starting. When the anxiety starts, the writing happens right after, usually."
Making each record sound different is always her goal when writing new music, but it is a very lengthy process:
"Whatever I write in the first year is going to get thrown away," she says. "I'm going to like it, but it's going to sound like the last record. The second year usually sounds like the next project."
She further explains that the influences for the previous album need to be different from the next album just to keep everything sounding fresh and different:
"I think you need to change up your influences. I think you need to be inspired by different things than you were inspired by before."
After performing live with Tim McGraw, and Keith Urban at the Country Music Award Festival according to MTV, the music collaborations can come from anywhere. Hopefully there are more collaborations with singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran in the near future.
