A Texas actress has reportedly been arrested in connection to the ricin-laced letters sent to President Obama and New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg last month.

The letter sent to Bloomberg was intercepted at a Manhattan mail center before it arrived at his office. Police officers who came in contact with the letter was sent to a hospital as a precaution. Another letter was sent to a lobbyist working for Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a group Bloomberg is spearheading that is pro gun control. A third was also sent to Obama.

According to NBC New York, the letters all featured the same language. “You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns,” they read. “Anyone wants to come to my house will get shot in the face. The right to bear arms is my constitutional God given right and I will exercise that right till the day I die.”

Shortly after the letters were discovered, a man in New Boston, Texas was questioned, but authorities arrested his wife, Shannon Richardson, 35, instead. According to The New York Times, Richardson had called the FBI, saying that he had sent the letters. It is not known why she tried to turn her husband in.

NBC News reports that Richardson has had minor roles in The Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries. She has five sons.

Richardson will be charged with mailing a threatening communication and is set to appear in court today. If convicted, she’ll face up to 10 years in prison.
