Shannon Guess Richardson, a 35-year-old Texas actress, has been indicted and officially charged for sending the ricin-laced letters that President Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg received in May.

USA Today reports that Richardson, who has five children, is being charged with threatening the President of the United States and two other counts of sending threatening letters. She could get up to five years for each charge if found guilty.

Richardson allegedly sent three letters, one to Obama, another to Bloomberg in New York and a third to a lobbyist at the Mayors Against Illegal Guns office in Washington, DC. The group is supported by Bloomberg and other mayors, who are pushing for tighter gun control.

Each letter had a similar statement, reading, “You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns. Anyone wants to come to my house will get shot in the face. (I will) make sure you wont be runnin' this country in the ground any further. What's in this letter is nothing compared to what ive got in store for you mr president.”

After the letters were sent, an army veteran in New Boston, Texas was questioned, but his wife, Richardson, was the one arrested. She is currently being held in prison.

Richardson appeared very briefly without speaking roles in The Vampire Diaries and The Walking Dead.
