The Stereo State, punk rock band from Holyoke, MA have announced the band’s breakup.

The band had a successful five years and three albums.

They will continue to play the few shows they have scheduled for the rest of the year. Their final show will be at FEST12 in Gainesville, FL October 31 through November 3.

Lead singer, Andy Frongillo, will be departing the band to move on to other things. The rest of the band hopes to continue playing together but does not feel right keeping the name of the band without Frongillo as their vocalist. No plans have yet been made for the rest of the group.

“Thank you to everyone for your support, a place to crash, a beer, an arm wrestling match against a dwarf… anything and everything,” said drummer Brandon Spence in a statement on Facebook. “You all have been the best. That is why we’ve been hustlin for all these years. Cheers, and thank you again. Let’s go out with a bang! From all sides of our hearts we love you all and we will see you soon.”
