Vampire Weekend released their music video for their new single “Diane Young” and the video features many guest appearances.
The video has Vampire Weekend dining with these indie stars according to MTV, which include Stantigold, the Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth, both members of Chromeo, Sky Ferreira, and The Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser.
The song was originally released back in march and Primo Khan directed the video.
The New York band talked about their music and politics. They said they have supported in President Barack Obama and have publicly stated their intention to back him in his 2008 campaign NME reported.
Earlier this year singer Ezra Koenig said, “George Bush was President when our first album came out. Isn’t that just crazy to think? I find American politics mostly just stresses me out. But this record – more than any of the others – hopefully reflects our feelings about the country and the city that we live in.”
Vampire Weekend’s new album has its share of success by reaching number one on the Billboard 200. They are spending the summer on the road playing festivals in the U.S. and Europe.
