Microsoft has had quite the catastrophic week at the E3 conference with their Xbox One getting slammed for its price and leap into the digital age. Sony, the makers of Xbox's number on competitor Playstation 4, smell the blood in the water and have already crafted videos to turn the internet in their favor.
Not two days old and that short clip has over 8 million views. An appealing aspect of the video is that the viewer has to be in the know, so it feels like an inside joke. Don't know much about the Microsoft mishaps? Check out theCelebrityCafe.com article covering it.
Compare the above clip to the longer unveiling of the Xbox One:
On Youtube, this comes in at about 5 million views after three weeks. That's a far cry from Sony's viral clip above.
And Microsoft's go to game, Halo, released trailer which also can't compare with Sony's humorous vignette. In half a day, the teaser has a few versions running on Youtube that add up to a little over a million views.
The verdict on the console wars seems to be apparent after years of competition. Slate reports that Sony's final unveiling on Monday solidified the Playstation 4 over the Xbox One. Unless Microsoft changes their tune or the gaming community finds some unapparent benefits of the more expensive and restrictive Xbox One, it looks like Sony for the win.
