Yellowcard announced they are releasing an acoustic version of their album Ocean Avenue on August 13.

Alternative Press reported the band addressed the rumor via Twitter saying, “If you’ve seen the “leaked” news about ‘Ocean Avenue Acoustic’, we had a better plan to tell you, but its true. More news to come very soon!”

Ocean Avenue includes Yellowcard’s biggest hits such as “Way Away,” “Ocean Avenue,” and “Breathing.”

This album will follow their 2012 album Southern Air. According to the band’s website they decided to make the acoustic album after they recorded 2011’s When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes, and after they released an acoustic version of “Sing for Me.”

“This is something the band has wanted to do for a very long time and we have been looking forward to surprising all of your fans with this record. It is the least we can do for the amazing support they have given us as we try to rebuild this career that we love so much,” the band said in a statement on their website.

The album is available for preorder now and the album trailer can be viewed below.

Yellowcard is scheduled to play in Canada on June 29 and then will play the Fuji Rock Festival in Niigata, Japan.
