From start to finish Pretty Little Liars latest episode “Gamma Zeta Die!” reels you in with suspense and a whole lot of drama. The theme of college and the future is revisited as the girls are coming to an end of their senior year. At the end of episode one of the liars leaves in handcuffs in the back of a police car.

Spencer: We find out in the beginning of the episode that Melissa is happy in London. Spencer’s mom hires an admissions coach Brendan McGowan to help her get into college because she has Radley on her record. Spencer isn’t thrilled about her mother’s intervention and calls Brendan an “ivy league pimp.” Emily and Spencer lose their chances to attend their dream schools, Stanford and UPenn, the girls go to Cicero College with Brendan. Of course their alternative motives for going to Cicero College it ends with one of the girls considering apply to the school. Spencer figures out the number she figured out that Alison was calling is from that school. Turns out the phone number is from Greek Row. Spencer and Emily have a fight before going into the sorority house. Spencer insults Emily by calling Cicero College “Podunk.” It leaves Spencer walking around with Alison’s picture asking if anyone recognized her. Hanna shows up to the sorority house and asks Spencer to find Emily because she needs to talk to them. In the process Spencer finds a creepy room in the house with a record player and a telephone. Spencer calls Aria and the phone number they are looking for belongs to the sorority house. It leaves Aria and Spencer wondering who was calling Alison from the sorority house? What is the Gamma Zeta Chi sisterhood hiding?

Aria: Aria is distant from her friends this episode as she spends more time with her family. After Aria talks to her mom in her mom’s car she leaves and gets a text from ‘A’ saying “This is just the first taste of my venom" and a swarm of bees attack her. Ella, Aria’s mom, is taken to the hospital and waits to recover and make her decision about Vienna. She tries to convince her mom to still go on her trip despite her brother’s disapproval. Mike tells Aria the only reason she wants their mom to leave is so that she can continue to be with Ezra. Low blow since they aren’t even on speaking terms. In the end Aria reaches out to her dad to convince her mom to leave. Aria is worried about Ella and thinks that by her being in a different country she will be safe from ‘A.’

Emily: Emily is devastated that her dreams have been put into a screeching halt because of her shoulder injury. With her parents being unable to pay for her education Emily is forced to look for other ways to attend college. After talking to Brendan she realizes there are other ways to get school paid for like scholarships. Emily and Brendan get close and he misinterprets her friendly personality for something more. It results in Emily telling Brendan that she is lesbian. Emily starts to consider Cicero College and find out more about sorority sister scholarships. Her motives for attending the sorority party are to network and move away from finding more about Alison. Emily starts talking to one of the Gamma Zeta Chi’s and asks her about the Greek life and the scholarship. A paddle catches Emily’s eye and the girl tells her it was the housemother’s, Carla Grunwald. She tells Emily that she was mean and nothing ever got passed her.

Hanna: Hanna nightmare opens the episode with her mother in an orange prison jumpsuit and all her hair cut off. She is still worried about her mother’s involvement in WIlden’s murder. Hanna starts looking around her mother’s things and finds a gun. She wants to protect her mother so she takes the gun and looks for Spencer and Emily at Cicero College. Hanna can’t wait any longer for the girls and takes matters into her own hands. She walks into the forest and starts digging a hole to get rid of the evidence. As Hanna is digging the cops show up and arrest her. Hanna is handcuffed and brushed away behind a cop car. The girls get a text from ‘A’ saying “Maybe Hanna and her mom can share a lawyer.” The episode ends with ‘A’ enjoying a cup of tea and looking at a dusty picture of Gamma Zeta Chi’s housemother Carla Grunwald.
