50 Cent was accused with attacking his ex-girlfriend and vandalizing her condo in Los Angeles this week.

The papers were filed on Monday that charged the “In da Club” singer with domestic violence and four counts of vandalism the Associated Press reports. If he is convicted he will have $46,000 in fines and up to five years in jail.

“Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office,” city attorney Mike Feuer said.

E! reports the authorities say the 37-year-old rapper allegedly kicked down the door and kicked his ex, who was locked in the bedroom. He also allegedly caused $7,100 in property damage from broken furniture and chandeliers, a broken TV, and a broken lamp, which officers observed on the scene.

The identity of the women is not being released because it is a domestic violence case. The women and 50 Cent were in a relationship for three-years and have a child together.

50 Cent had reportedly already left before the police arrived. His last run-in with the police was in 2006 for a traffic stop.

50 Cent is due in court on July 22.
