Amanda Berry, one of the Ohio kidnap victims who was allegedly held captive by Ariel Castro for almost 10 years, made her first public appearance this past weekend in Cleveland since escaping in May.

Berry attended RoverFest on Saturday night, where she joined rapper Nelly on stage with her family. After his set, he called her back on stage.

NY Daily News notes 27-year-old Berry, who has a 6-year-old child as a result of Castro’s rapings, has remained out of the public eye since she and two other women escaped.

Earlier this month, they released a “thank you” video, breaking their silence since fleeing from Castro.

“First and foremost, I want everyone to know how happy I am to be home with my family and my friends,” Berry said in the video. “It's been unbelievable. I want to thank everyone who has helped me and my family through this entire ordeal. Everyone who has been there to support us -- it's been a blessing to have such an outpouring of love and kindness.”
