Scotty McCreery is being sued by his former manager, Todd Cassetty.

Cassetty is claiming the 19-year-old country singer has not paid him for his services according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Celebrities should be required to pay their bills, just like anyone else,” the first line of the lawsuit reads.

The lawsuit also said Cassetty was supposed to receive 15 to 20 percent of all revenue but McCreery’s mother offered 2 percent.

According to the Nashville Business Journal Todd Cassetty said he was waiting for months for McCreery to sign a management agreement and an agreement on the percent received by Cassetty was never put into writing.

McCreery is claiming the allegations are not true, Cassetty is merely trying to embarrass the season 10 American Idol winner and the truth will come out in court.

“There is no truth to these allegations. I have offered to pay Todd more than once, but he wanted an unreasonable amount for only five months of work. Anyone who knows me knows how I conduct myself, so I am not worried they will believe any of this,” McCreery said.
