Among the Toronto International Film Festival premieres are several highly anticipated films, but All Is by My Side might be one of the most intriguing. The film is singer Andre 3000’s dream project, telling the story of Jimi Hendrix’s early days in the U.K.

TIFF also unveiled the first image of Outkast’s Andre 3000, born Andre Benjamin, as the late legendary guitarist. It shows Benjamin at the microphone, complete with Hendrix’s trademark hair and wearing a colorful jacket. He’s also seen playing the guitar, so audiences can bet that there will be a lot of guitar playing in this film.

According to EW, the film’s screening at TIFF will be its world premiere. It focuses on Hendrix’s early days in London after he left the U.S., but before he records the Jimi Hendrix Experience’s debut album, Are You Experienced.

The film’s production was watched closely by music fans after it was revealed that it will not feature any songs performed by Hendrix. It won’t even feature performances of songs written by Hendrix. Instead, the film’s soundtrack will rely on songs Hendrix covered and was influenced by.

All Is By My Side was written and directed by John Ridley. It does not have a U.S. release date.
