It makes sense that a movie about a tech innovator would make some tech headlines itself. Jobs, which stars Ashton Kutcher as Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, has become the first film ever to have an Instagram trailer.

The 15-second trailer was posted over the weekend, showing clips from the trailer that was released last month. So far, it looks to be a success to get the film some extra attention. The video has over 230 comments and over 2,900 likes, so it has worked.

Jobs premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and covers Jobs’ life from the early days of Apple to the introduction of the iPod. Jobs died in October 2011 at that age of 55 after a battle with cancer.

Kutcher’s co-stars include Josh Gad, who can be spotted in the Instagram trailer, Dermont Mulroney, Matthew Modine, Amanda Crew and James woods. It was written by Matt Whiteley and directed by Joshua Michael Stern.

Open Road films is releasing Jobs on Aug. 16. Here’s the full trailer:
